|5.Term of Employment||3 years (reappointment is possible to extend for a further two years)|
|6.Qualifications||1．Applicans must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent in a Science and Technology field when the employment starts.|
2．The successful candidate is required as follows;
1) To have pioneering and internationally notable research achievements to qualify as a postgraduate student advisor.
2) To have native or near-native competency in English (must be able to teach classes in English).
3) To understand and cooperate with management policy and educational and research activities of our department.

4) To be enthusiatic about the teaching of both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
5) To understand this position is for our department’s Global Innovator Honors Program.
|7.Employment Conditions||1．Salary: Annual income in accordance with TCU employment regulations.|
※The annual income is expected to be more than JPY5,400,000 for 35 years old.
2．Classes: About 4 subjects of the undergraduate course, 1 subject of the graduate course. Both subsects are held in English.
3．Working hours: 40 hours (5 days) / week.
4．Holidays: Sundays, public holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, other days determined by Tokyo City University.

|8.Proposed Start Date||September 1st, 2021 or the earliest possible date thereafter.|
|9.Required Documents||1．Curriculum Vitae including professional and educational history (from high school onward), degrees, photo, and email address.|
2．List of research achievements, including books, journal papers，conference papers, commentaries, patents, grants and equivalent.
3．Up to ten major publications within past five years (photocopy acceptable) and major books (photocopy of cover and table contents acceptable) within past ten years.
4．Acquired research grants and external funds. Include names of the funds, project titles, amounts, periods of research, and allocated amounts (if not the principal researcher).
5．Teaching statement that provides a summary of accomplishments.
6．Details of educational and research activities the applicant would undertake at TCU.
7．Three references with names, affiliations, and contact details including e-mail. ※Personal information contained in the submitted documents will not be used for purposes other than screening and recruitment.

|12.Selection Process||1．Selection will be based on a comprehensive review of applications.|
2．Short-listed candidates will be invited for a Zoom interview and an online sample lecture.
※Travel expenses for attending interviews will not be reimbursed.
